AXSMarine to integrate vessel data on Chinsay platform

Maritime software company AXSMarine is to partner with Chinsay, a provider of digital services for commodity and freight markets, to integrate the firms’ respective technologies to allow data to be shared across their applications.

The collaboration will begin with the integration of AXSMarine’s vessel data with Chinsay’s Intelligent Contract Platform (ICP), allowing clients to consolidate all required vessel information into contracts, increasing efficiency and eliminating errors.

Users can search a vessel by name or IMO number when creating their open position, main recap or charterparty form in ICP, for which vessel details will be pulled directly from AXSMarine’s vessel database into the form.

The integration eliminates the need to rekey data and shortens the creation time of forms through the automatic addition of ship data, inserting vessel descriptions directly into the contracting workflow.

“The importance of efficient data acquisition and sharing is growing by the day in our industry. We believe Chinsay’s Intelligent Contract Platform’s wide use in the commodity and freight markets solves a lot of the collaboration and standardisation conundrums being talked about,” said Steve Fletcher, CCO of AXSMarine.

“It is our privilege to collaborate on an innovative shipping data solution, as we both have over 20 years of experience developing such endeavours.”
