Neptune Pacific Direct Line to implement MariApps applications

Neptune Pacific Direct Line (NPDL) has agreed a new deal to integrate MariApps’ smartPAL package of maritime software applications to optimise its fleet of vessels.

NPDL offers liner shipping and supply chain services to and from 16 countries and 22 ports in the south pacific, with weekly services between Asia and the Pacific Islands with cargo relaying through New Zealand.

NPDL was formed in 2020, when Neptune Pacific Line acquired Pacific Direct Line (PDL), bringing together two of the South Pacific’s major shipping and logistics companies. The combined fleet will deploy MariApps’ applications to support the company’s ongoing digitalisation while improving its supply chain services and operational efficiency.

The smartPAL range includes software for various operational processes including procurement, maintenance, drydocking, crewing and chartering.

The agreement is MariApps’ first customer signing in the South Pacific, as the company looks to establish a greater presence in the region.
