P&O Maritime Logistics agrees digital fleet support deal with Caterpillar

P&O Maritime Logistics and Caterpillar have signed a Global Value Agreement (GVA) designed to increase vessel uptime, drive operational performance and efficiency, and provide digital support for the P&O fleet.

P&O Maritime Logistics provides services to the offshore, port services, and cargo transport segments. The agreement with Caterpillar covers fleet management services, maintenance planning, and connectivity coverage for 90 vessels.

Each vessel will additionally be digitally connected with Cat Remote Fleet Vision, a system that provides data trends, alerts, and failure prevention analysis, backed by a dedicated team and global dealer network to provide support across the world.

“This agreement supports both Caterpillar and P&O Maritime Logistics’ vision for value-added marine services through innovative solutions and technology supported operations,” said Brad Johnson, Vice President of Caterpillar Marine.

“We will work closely with their team on improvement projects and potentially on the use of new fuels and technologies.”
