Marlink and Alpha Ori Technologies agree to integrate systems

Singapore’s Alpha Ori Technologies (AOT) has signed an MoU with satcom service provider Marlink to partner in the provision of data collection and analytics for vessel performance and monitoring of onboard systems.

The two entities will aim to improve integration between AOT’s SMARTShip software and Marlink’s BridgeLink platform, optimising services for delivery via Marlink’s network.

SMARTShip offers real time analytics on operational efficiency, while BridgeLink is used to create digital connections to any data-enabled equipment installed onboard a ship, collecting data that is saved to the cloud.

“The value of data to shipping’s digitalisation and decarbonisation process cannot be underestimated but not every shipowner has the resources to manage the capture of data or to turn this into performance information,” said Nicolas Furgé, President, Digital, Marlink.

“This partnership with AOT gives shipowners a platform that can manage both vessel operations and maintenance planning, helping to reduce fuel consumption and carbon emissions.”
