FrontM integrates ChatGPT into its maritime applications

Maritime software development company FrontM has added ChatGPT integration to its applications, to enable users to incorporate the AI tool into its crew connectivity and information access services.

FrontM offers a low-code developer framework to enable companies to create applications around use cases such as telehealth, video conferencing, virtual events, remote assistance and monitoring for ships.

Its services include the onship mobile app for Android and iOS, which offers an internal app marketplace with built-in text, voice and video communication, e-wallet and closed user group collaboration. Emma, a Virtual Assistant, is a universal chatbot to assist seafarers to obtain information online, which will now benefit from the extra capabilities offered by ChatGPT.

“With our advanced integration of ChatGPT to our platform, we are expanding generative AI’s reach into maritime environments and various use cases,” said Guillermo Acilu, CTO of FrontM.

“I am personally excited at each opportunity to exploit the full potential of AI and unlock greater value for maritime partners, operators and seafarers.”
