Kaiko Systems partners with i.safe MOBILE on SIRE 2.0 inspection package

Kaiko Systems and i.safe MOBILE have formed a strategic partnership which will see i.safe MOBILE tablets used as the preferred hardware for Kaiko’s mobile Self-Assessment Tool for SIRE 2.0 inspections.

Kaiko Systems’ app utilises AI to streamline data collection and analysis on vessels, to provide real-time insights into fleet conditions, identify potential risks and support informed decision-making.

The collaboration with i.safe will ensure that users of the app have access to suitable hardware for inspection processes, with the same tablets having also being chosen by OCIMF (Oil Companies International Marine Forum) for its inspectors.

“With the implementation of SIRE 2.0, the maritime industry is facing a significant transformation in the inspection process,” said Fabian Fussek, Co-Founder and CEO, Kaiko Systems.

“Our partnership with i.safe MOBILE represents a pivotal step in ensuring that ship managers and crew members are equipped with the most advanced tools and technologies to navigate these changes seamlessly.”

Kaiko System’s vessel and rank specific questionnaires for each crew member cover the full OCIMF SIRE 2.0 question library to provide technical managers with a detailed report of the vessel’s condition and ensure that all required processes are in place so that crew members are prepared to answer any question a SIRE 2.0 vetting inspector may ask.

“We are excited to join forces with Kaiko Systems to offer a comprehensive solution that combines advanced software with state-of-the-art hardware,” said Kah Lip Yap, Managing Director of i.safe MOBILE Singapore.

“This collaboration is already bearing fruit, with the first tanker fleets rolling out Kaiko Systems, running on intrinsically safe tablets of i.safe MOBILE. By leveraging our expertise in maritime hardware solutions, we aim to empower ship managers and crew members with the tools they need to conduct inspections with confidence and precision.”
