Kaiko Systems has launched a new Vessel Health Map, used to consolidate complex operational data into understandable insights using colour-coded visuals and 3D models.
The colour-coded system highlights the status of various areas of the ship based on recent crew inspections, making it easier to identify areas of concern at a glance. All areas of the main deck, enclosed spaces, and equipment onboard can then be examined in a 3D format, to bring further clarity to the underlying data.
Users can access a multi-layer overview that displays the condition of different parts of the vessel, and then drill down into specific areas to see detailed health metrics based on thousands of data points to support maintenance and operational decision making.
Areas with the most frequent findings will be highlighted by the system, while corrosion levels across the vessel can also be visualised on-screen.
The software can then generate reports for internal use or sharing with external stakeholders, including ship and cargo owners, which can be customised by filtering vessel components and dates. Maintenance jobs and their progress can also be viewed on the map.
