Shipping group Chandris Hellas has agreed a deal to implement a new crew software system from maritime tech start-up Seafair, and agreement that also includes group company Century Bulk Carriers.
The system will be used to support the company’s crew, HSQE and training departments in managing seafarer selection, development and monitoring, while also centralising management of requirements in crew compliance and retention.
“Seafair’s software helps our organisation use smart digital workflows to perform crewing activities,” said Klavdia Chatzikonstantinou, Digital Transformation & PMO Manager, Chandris Hellas.
“The system brings enhanced collaboration for all users that deal with crew matters both internally in our organisation and externally from our partners, who are able to access the platform with scalable user rights.”

Seafair says that it is currently in the process of building its the next generation of crewing software, to improve collaboration between shipping companies and internal and external stakeholders involved in crewing matters, to streamline operations and build better crewing intelligence.
