Stödig Ship Management of Norway has completed the roll-out of a new digital crew management platform from Berlin-based company Tilla Technologies for its entire owned and managed fleet of 43 vessels.
The platform can be used by crewing teams to plan, act, monitor and continuously optimise crew changes, integrating relevant data sources like vessel schedules, crewing data, port agency data, real-time flight data and travel requirements.
The system can search for optimal flights and book them automatically, keeping all stakeholders informed of changes at all times. Planning, reporting and invoice management can also be integrated into existing crew management systems for information sharing.
“It makes little sense to optimise all operational business areas and stop at crewing of all things. We therefore also wanted to find the best possible technology for crew logistics optimisation,” said Erik Mohn, Director of Crewing at Stödig Ship Management.
“That’s why we have gone through a rigorous data-driven pilot with Tilla on 15 of our managed vessels. It makes crew changes more efficient, cheaper and more scalable. We now have complete transparency of our processes, costs and optimisation potential.”
