Nearshore agrees SIM deal with iOnline Connected Networks

Maritime comms firm Nearshore has announced a new agreement with iOnline Connected Networks, which will see iOnline’s SIM cards used to support cellular connectivity at sea.

“This is a key step in enhancing our global connectivity capabilities,” said Bob Miltenberger, CEO of Nearshore.

“iOnline’s world-class cellular connectivity complements Nearshore’s vision to empower businesses with unparalleled communication reliability, extending our reach and performance to even the most remote areas.”

iOnline’s network coverage and SIM technology will be used support services including NEO (Nearshore Every Orbit) and WaveHunter 5G, which allows users to transition between terrestrial and satellite networks.

“This partnership with Nearshore Networks aligns perfectly with our mission to deliver reliable connectivity everywhere it’s needed,” said David Farquharson, CEO of iOnline Connected Networks.

“By combining our multi-network resilient technology with Nearshore’s innovative maritime solutions, we’re creating a connectivity powerhouse that effectively demonstrates how offshore vessels operate in remote and maritime environments.”
