Eletson has implemented a data exchange system from Dualog across its fleet of 20 LPG and LEG carriers to improve operational efficiency and data security, supporting real-time monitoring and synchronisation of data transfers.
“In our digitalisation strategy, the seamless integration of robust and standardised solutions into our IT infrastructure is crucial, and it is essential that the processes align with our cybersecurity requirements. When it comes to data transfer, we need immediate file synchronisation across all vessels and the ability to monitor transfers fleetwide,” said Michalis Kantartzoglou, IT Manager at Eletson.
“Many tools, including custom-built solutions, failed to meet our expectations, particularly in achieving near real-time file synchronisation and ensuring data security. Since deploying Dualog Drive, our data is secure and instantly synchronised across the fleet without errors.”
“However, one of the most valuable improvements for me is the dashboard. We now have complete visibility, allowing us to monitor transfer statuses, track the volume of data sent to and from each ship, generate reports, and troubleshoot quickly across the fleet. Additionally, monitoring enables us to assess vessel performance, create KPIs, and share insights with management.”
The system is being used to deliver a range of operational data transfers, including Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) updates, Voyage Data Recorder (VDR) files, performance analytics, procurement requests, and technical reports.
More than 70% of Eletson’s data transfers now occur automatically, reducing manual workload for both onboard and shore-based teams.
