Torvald Klaveness to centralise digitalisation efforts

Torvald Klaveness has announced plans to consolidate all of its digital services under its Klaveness Digital division, as part of a new strategic direction focused on developing smarter, more efficient maritime technologies.

Under the leadership of new Managing Director Ingrid Kylstad, Klaveness Digital will be tasked with driving innovation across the group, developing and refining digital tools for shipping and supply chain management.

The company says that it plans to accelerate testing and development, leveraging its existing expertise to create technologies that improve operational efficiency in shipping.

Klaveness Digital will continue to commercialise its existing products, such as the CargoValue, a supply chain management platform, and Klaveness Dry Bulk’s freight decision support software.

“It’s a very exciting time for the shipping industry as digital transformation accelerates, and I feel privileged to be taking on this role at such a pivotal moment. Technology is reshaping the way we work in shipping and across maritime supply chains, and I look forward to leading the Klaveness Digital team in driving innovation and delivering more sustainable, scalable solutions for our customers,” said Ms Kylstad.

“Thankfully we have a customer base of forward-leaning companies, always ready to challenge and work with us, and that customer-centricity will continue to be key as we innovate for the next generation of our product portfolio.”
