Marlink launches dedicated cybersecurity company

Marlink has established Marlink Cyber, a dedicated cybersecurity company aiming to address cyber threats and compliance demands across multiple industries.

Marlink Cyber integrates expertise gained through the company’s acquisitions of two cyber specialists, Diverto and Port-IT, in 2024. A staff of 150 will focus on developing and delivering services to help customers strengthen security, meet regulatory requirements, and respond to emerging cyber risks.

The company will operate multiple Security Operations Centres (SOCs) to provide proactive security monitoring, including its existing maritime SOC, and will apply the NIST framework—Identify, Protect, Detect, Respond, Recover, Govern—to help businesses effectively manage cyber risk.

Services will span three core areas: Cyber Security Professional Services, Infrastructure and Endpoint Security, and the Cyber Security Defence Centre. Offerings include managed cybersecurity services, detection and response, vulnerability assessments, penetration testing, phishing and awareness programmes, compliance audits, and risk management.

“With more and more industries embracing digitalisation, Marlink Cyber answers a critical need for proactive cyber security that can help our customers address emerging threats,” said Nicolas Furge, President, Marlink Cyber.

“By combining our resources into a single dedicated entity, we can ease our customers’ pain points and support their strategies with highly effective managed solutions and services.”
