Dualog launches Quota app for crew internet access

Dualog has introduced Quota, a new app designed to provide seafarers with transparent control of their internet access.

The system replaces Dualog’s Crew Connection service and features a mobile-optimised interface compatible with any airtime provider or carrier.

Through the app, crew can monitor usage, manage multiple devices, top up data, and select their preferred carrier. The app is available for Android and iOS, and can also be accessed via web browser.

“Fair access to the internet is a fundamental part of crew welfare,” said Silje Moan, Chief Commercial Officer at Dualog.

“With Quota, seafarers have a single, consistent user experience – even when airtime vendors are fragmented. That’s why we’re seeing such strong interest from the market.”

Quota integrates with Dualog’s existing network control and DNS protection systems and supports all major satellite systems. The company plans to expand the app with additional features in the future, including personal speed throttling for streaming, custom branding, and new configuration tools for fleet IT teams.
