Bureau Veritas, Igloo Corporation and Hyundai LNG Shipping have launched a joint development project to validate ship cyber resilience technology compliant with IACS UR E26 and E27 standards.
The project will test security policy, monitoring and response for navigation systems using Igloo’s SPiDER OT for Maritime SIEM platform. BV will supply certification support and the cybersecurity demonstration framework, while Hyundai LNG Shipping will verify performance in an operational LNG carrier environment.
The collaboration intends to validate incident response and resilience assessment processes on board and extend the application of this cyber resilience technology across different ship types.
Igloo has existing UR E27 certification from KR and BV and will use the JDP to accelerate expansion of its CPS security offerings.
“This joint development project will be a significant milestone in strengthening cyber resilience, which is essential for the digital transformation of the shipping industry,” said Lee Deok Chun, CEO of Igloo Corporation.
“Based on Igloo Corporation’s security technology and operational know-how, we will enhance the stability of vessel operations and strengthen our position as a trusted cybersecurity partner in the global market.”
