Pusan Newport Company to use Portchain to improve berth alignment

Pusan Newport Company (PNC) has implemented the Portchain Connect system to speed up data exchange with carriers and improve berth alignment processes.

The system allows terminals and shipping lines to share schedule data through digital channels rather than by manual communication, providing real-time updates on arrival times and move counts.

The goal of the deployment is to improve schedule reliability and reduce delays caused by incomplete or outdated information.

By using the platform, PNC can view all vessel calls in a single interface and respond more efficiently to schedule changes to better align arrivals with berth availability.

“We’re proud to partner with Pusan Newport Company. This collaboration reflects our shared commitment to smarter, more transparent planning that benefits both terminals and shipping lines,” said Thor Thorup, CCO and Co-Founder at Portchain.
