GTMaritime reports that it has launched a new cybersecurity system designed to provide fleet-wide visibility of onboard hardware and software assets.
The GT Identify technology offers a structured view of onboard systems to support compliance with International Maritime Organization (IMO) cyber risk management rules and International Association of Classification Societies (IACS) Unified Requirements E26. It performs asset auditing to create an inventory of connected devices and provides vulnerability reporting to highlight outdated components.
The system is built on the GT Hub platform and aligns with the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) Cybersecurity Framework. It is designed to manage IT assets across distributed fleets, providing a centralised view for IT and compliance teams to support governance and risk reduction.
Beta users have been operating the platform in live environments since September 2025, and the company plans to release additional modules for the wider platform throughout 2026.
“From our years of experience in maritime, we know that ship operators continue to face significant challenges in maintaining accurate oversight of onboard IT systems,” said Jamie Jones, chief operating officer at GTMaritime.
“Those issues motivated our team, and GT Identify is the solution.”
