HD Hyundai reports that it has expanded its partnership with Palantir Technologies, with plans to implement Palantir’s Foundry and Artificial Intelligence Platform (AIP) across its entire ecosystem.
The deal builds on a collaboration that began in 2021 with HD Hyundai Oilbank and subsequently moved into shipbuilding and construction equipment. The new phase of the agreement will broaden platform access to include electric systems, robotics, and marine aftermarket services, marking the first time several of these affiliates will leverage the AI technology.
In the shipbuilding sector, Palantir’s platforms will be utilised as an orchestration layer to support digital twin and 3D modelling efforts under HD Hyundai’s ‘Future of Shipyard’ initiative. The technology is designed to connect data and workflows into a single system to enable faster decision-making and predictive maintenance.
The two companies also plan to establish a ‘Center of Excellence for Foundry and AIP’ to train HD Hyundai employees in advanced analytics and AI-driven innovation.
