Windward reports that it has acquired Prominent Edge, a US defence technology firm specialising in geospatial and mission software.
The move follows the 2025 acquisition of Windward by FTV Capital, which established the company as a US majority-owned entity.
Windward’s platform processes maritime data, including vessel behaviour and ownership structures, to provide real-time intelligence for security and compliance operations. By integrating Prominent Edge’s mission software delivery and geospatial expertise, Windward says that it aims to improve its support for national security and government operations.
