Stolt Tankers has announced plans to adopt Tilla’s technology platform to manage travel requirements for crew changes across its entire owned fleet following the completion of two pilot projects to evaluate the system.
Tilla, a Berlin-based company, provides a digital platform that integrates vessel schedules, crewing data, port agency information, and real-time flight data. The system allows crewing teams to automate flight bookings and manage travel logistics more efficiently while providing full cost transparency.
Stolt Tankers operates a fleet of more than 160 chemical tankers on global routes and sources seafarers from multiple countries, creating significant complexity for crew changes between ships and ports.
The pilot phase demonstrated that a variety of related administrative tasks, such as flight planning and booking, could be automated to deliver time savings for crewing teams.
