Carnival Cruise Line renews Maranics deal

Carnival Cruise Line has renewed its contract with maritime workflow digitalisation provider Maranics, expanding the operational scope of the collaboration since its initial deployment to support an increasing range of workflows across the 29 ships operated by the cruise line.

The collaboration has seen new use cases identified and implemented each year of the three year partnership, embedding the platform into the daily operations of both shipboard crews and shoreside teams.

“We have found that the more we use the Maranics platform, the more possibilities we see. Each year we have extended both the contract and the scope of what we do together,” said Benton Lobo, Vice President, Compliance at Carnival Cruise Line.

“The platform has become integral to how our crews manage compliance, safety, and operational consistency across the fleet.”

Annually, the cruise line serves nearly six million guests across its international activities, operating from 13 U.S. and two Australian homeports, alongside seasonal operations in Europe.

“Carnival has not simply continued using our platform. They have expanded it, found new applications for it, and made it a core part of how they operate. That is the kind of partnership that defines long-term value,” said Thomas Örnevik, Chief Executive Officer at Maranics.
