Attica Group deploys real-time monitoring fleetwide

Greek ferry operator Attica Group has partnered with ABB to deploy an integrated real-time monitoring system across its fleet, designed to improve operational visibility and performance management across the operator’s vessels.

The system is based on ABB Ability OneBox marine signals monitoring technology, which integrates operational, electrical, and fuel consumption data into a single dashboard.

“OneBox represents a key milestone in the evolution of our fleet monitoring capabilities,” said George Anagnostou, Chief Operations Officer at Attica Group.

“We are progressing toward full real-time performance visibility via a single integrated dashboard to proactively address operational issues and continuously optimise fuel consumption on every voyage.”

The rollout follows a pilot project conducted on the roll-on/roll-off passenger ferries Superfast I and Superfast II. The technology integrates with Attica Group’s existing infrastructure and third-party systems to provide fuel tracking, electrical power management, and continuous performance analysis.

The real-time monitoring system is now operational on 17 of Attica Group’s 33 vessels as the roll-out continues.
