ShipIn has raised US$52 million in new financing to expand its AI-powered operational intelligence platform for commercial shipping.
The funding round includes new investors Proofpoint Capital, HighSage Ventures, Bling Ventures, Framework Venture Partners and Tokio Marine Future Fund, alongside existing investors Zeev Ventures, Munich Re, Atinc and Hyperplane Ventures.
Matt Wallach, Co-founder of Proofpoint Capital and Co-founder of Veeva Systems, has also joined ShipIn’s board of directors.
ShipIn says its platform is currently deployed by 92 shipowners across more than 1,300 vessels. The system combines data from onboard cameras, vessel systems, sensors and applications to provide operational visibility intended to improve safety, productivity and fleet performance.

According to the company, the new funding will support international expansion, product development, strategic partnerships and investment in its intellectual property portfolio.
