Singapore Shipping Association in AI learning partnership

The Singapore Shipping Association (SSA) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with OneLearn Global to develop an AI-powered eLearning platform for the maritime industry.

The platform, known as the Transformational Learning Hub (T-Learning Hub), will initially be launched in Singapore before expanding internationally using OneCare Group’s existing technology.

The SSA, which represents shipping companies and maritime businesses in Singapore, will work with OneLearn Global to develop, operate and maintain the platform as part of the agreement. The system is intended to provide a centralised online course library featuring training content from the SSA, OneLearn Global and approved third-party providers.

“Partnering with the Singapore Shipping Association marks a significant milestone in our mission to transform how learning is delivered across the maritime industry,” said Managing Director of OneLearn Global, Capt Sundeep Sequeira.

“As the sector navigates rapid technological change and increasing regulatory complexity, there is a growing need for more agile, accessible and personalised training solutions.”

The platform will use AI to create personalised learning pathways based on users’ roles, experience levels and career goals, supporting continuous professional development for seafarers and shore-based maritime personnel.

“This collaboration marks an important step forward in maritime training and innovation, helping to strengthen how we prepare our workforce for a more digital and fast-changing industry,” said Loh Chun How, Executive Director of Singapore Shipping Association.

The T-Learning Hub is expected to add multilingual capabilities as it expands into regional markets including Vietnam, Malaysia, Myanmar and China.
