Klaipėda Container Terminal (KCT) is to implement Portchain’s Quay berth planning software as the terminal continues its digitalisation programme following the deployment of Portchain Connect earlier this year.
The software is designed to provide a shared, real-time planning environment for berth, crane and gang planning, supported by live vessel tracking.
KCT says the implementation will replace manual berth planning processes with a centralised system, enabling planners to make quicker adjustments while providing Engineering and Operations teams with a real-time view of berth plans.
Shipping lines and other customers will also receive access to an updated berth line-up reflecting the latest planning information, reducing the need for email updates and telephone calls.

Portchain Quay combines berth, crane and gang planning within a single planning environment and uses real-time vessel tracking to support operational planning and coordination across the terminal.
