Marlink has launched an operational technology (OT) security offering combining professional services, OT-native technology and security monitoring for maritime and land-based industries.
OT systems control physical processes including vessel navigation, propulsion and cargo handling, as well as energy production, water treatment and industrial automation.
The offering includes passive monitoring to identify connected assets and unusual activity, alongside safeguards intended to contain threats and protect critical processes.
The services are also designed to support requirements including IACS UR E26 for ships, NERC Critical Infrastructure Protection standards, the EU’s NIS2 Directive and ISA/IEC 62443 for industrial automation and control systems.
Marlink said it detected and contained an early-stage cyber threat in a tanker’s cargo-control network in late 2025 through the application of these capabilities, preventing potential operational disruption and environmental risk.
“Organisations need to understand what is connected to their OT environment, where their greatest risks lie and how to strengthen protection without compromising critical operations,” said Julien Nabonne, Head of OT Security Product, Marlink.
