ABB and Oceanly to integrate data for optimisation

Maritime software provider Oceanly and ABB have agreed a deal to combine voyage optimisation with high-frequency vessel performance data in an integration between ABB’s voyage and route optimisation technology and the Oceanly Performance platform.

The companies announced the partnership at SMM in Hamburg on 2nd September 2026. The integration is intended to give shipowners and operators a more direct link between how a vessel is performing at sea and the decisions made during voyage planning and execution.

Oceanly Performance gathers operational data from onboard systems and analyses vessel behaviour under actual operating conditions. ABB’s route and speed optimisation software can then use this information to support decisions on routing and vessel speed, with the aim of reducing fuel consumption, emissions and operating costs.

The companies are also connecting their respective processes for vessel condition monitoring, with ABB’s asset monitoring, lifecycle management and remote technical support capabilities to be combined with Oceanly’s high-frequency data collection, alerts and alarm functions.

The integration brings together vessel performance monitoring, voyage optimisation and asset diagnostics rather than requiring operators to work across separate systems for each function.
