Port of Kristiansand has joined the Portchain Connect Network, with terminal operator Seafront implementing the platform to improve berth coordination with shipping lines.
Portchain Connect enables Seafront to receive real-time vessel schedule and container move count updates directly from carrier systems, allowing it to respond to changes and counter propose berth windows digitally.
The platform provides a shared overview of vessel calls and enables terminals and carriers to exchange berthing information through secure data sharing, replacing manual communication processes.

The Port of Kristiansand is a container port serving Southern Norway, with the terminal operating three quays and handling nearly 50,000 containers and more than 470,000 tonnes of cargo annually.
