Ofiniti to acquire ZeroNorth eBDN software

Maritime technology company Ofiniti has agreed to acquire ZeroNorth’s electronic bunker delivery note (eBDN) application and will integrate the technology and its customers into its Bunker Operating System.

The transaction will see BTS, the Singapore-based legal entity and licence holder behind the eBDN system, become part of Ofiniti. It follows the company’s acquisitions of Angsana Technology and Teqplay since it was spun out from DNV in September 2024.

Ofiniti currently serves approximately 200 customers and has processed more than 50,000 bunker operations, with the company holding an estimated 40% share of Singapore’s digital bunkering market.

“Bunkering has been built around fragmented systems, data and ways of working, and we see a huge opportunity to change that,” said Tue Raguse, CEO, Ofiniti.

ZeroNorth said the transaction reflects a decision to concentrate its bunkering activities on procurement, pricing and planning, while Ofiniti takes responsibility for the continued development of the eBDN technology.

“eBDN has an important role to play in the continued digitalization of fuel operations, and we are proud of what we have built. We believe Ofiniti is well placed to take eBDN forward and continue developing it for the industry,” said Søren Andersen, CEO, Zeronorth.

“ZeroNorth will continue to invest in bunkering, focusing on the areas where we can create the greatest impact for the industry – connecting fuel decisions more closely with voyage and vessel operations, while increasingly applying agentic AI across the voyage.”

Ofiniti is also increasing its investment in Singapore, where it plans to expand its technology, talent and presence as it develops its international bunkering business.
