SMN Event Registration – Terms and Conditions
All participants must accept these T&Cs to register their place.
CONFIRMATION:
Completing the booking form constitutes a booking subject to payment of invoice within 30 days of order; unless your booking is less than 30 days before the conference in which case the full amount is due within 7 days of the conference.
All payment must be received before entry will be granted to the event. Any delegates who haven’t paid in advance MUST bring a credit card with them in order to guarantee access.
DISCOUNTS:
Discounts and offer codes are non-transferable and non-accumulative – only one discount may apply per booking. Bookings made by the same organisation at different times cannot qualify for multiple booking discounts. Discount codes must be quoted at the time of booking in order to qualify a discount.
COVID-19:
By registering for this event:
You acknowledge the contagious nature of the Coronavirus/COVID-19 and that public health authorities in the event location will have recommended guidelines that should be followed during the event.
You further acknowledge that Smart Maritime Network has worked with the local event venue to ensure all recommended preventative measures to reduce the spread of the Coronavirus/COVID-19 are followed where applicable.
You further acknowledge that Smart Maritime Network cannot guarantee that you will not become infected with the Coronavirus/Covid-19. You understand that the risk of becoming exposed to and/or infected by the Coronavirus/COVID-19 may result from the actions, omissions, or negligence of yourself and others, including, but not limited to, staff at the event venue, and other event delegates.
You are voluntarily registering to attend a Smart Maritime Network event and acknowledge that you are increasing your risk to exposure to the Coronavirus/COVID-19. You acknowledge that you must comply with all set procedures to reduce the spread while attending the event.
You agree that you will not attend the event if you are experiencing any symptom of illness such as cough, shortness of breath or difficulty breathing, fever, chills, repeated shaking with chills, muscle pain, headache, sore throat, or new loss of taste or smell.
You agree that you will not attend the event if you believe you have been exposed to someone with a suspected and/or confirmed case of the Coronavirus/COVID-19.
You agree that you will not attend the event if you have been diagnosed with Coronavirus/COVID-19 and not yet cleared as non-contagious by public health authorities.
You agree that you are following all government recommended guidelines in the event location as much as possible and limiting your exposure to the Coronavirus/COVID-19.
You hereby release and agree to hold Smart Maritime Network harmless from, and waive on behalf of yourself, your heirs, and any personal representatives any and all causes of action, claims, demands, damages, costs, expenses and compensation for damage or loss to yourself and/or property that may be caused by any act, or failure to act of Smart Maritime Network, or that may otherwise arise in any way in connection with attending the event. You understand that this release discharges Smart Maritime Network from any liability or claim that you, your heirs, or any personal representatives may have against Smart Maritime Network with respect to any bodily injury, illness, death, medical treatment, or property damage that may arise from, or in connection to, attending the event. This liability waiver and release extends to Smart Maritime Network together with all owners, partners, and employees.
CANCELLATIONS:
Cancellation of your booking must be received in writing by notifying cathy.hodge@smartmaritimenetwork.com
Cancellations made in advance of 30 days before the event will be refunded in full minus a €100 admin fee. Those received within 30 days of the event, or those not made in writing, will be subject to the full delegate fee which will also be liable in the event of non-attendance. Substitutions can be made at any time at no additional charge – simply email cathy.hodge@smartmaritimenetwork.com with the name and job title of both the registered delegate(s) and the replacement(s) – both must be of the same organisation.
VENUE / PROGRAMME CHANGES:
Agenda alterations to that which are published may be beyond our control and we reserve the right to alter the programme or venue at any time.
Although every effort is made to ensure our speakers appear as advertised; we are unable to guarantee any speaker’s attendance as unforeseen circumstances can arise which may prevent a speaker from joining us. In the event of a speaker being unable to attend we will make every effort to find a suitable replacement of the same calibre and level of expertise. To avoid disappointment, please visit our website regularly to keep up to date with the latest programme for each conference.
In the unlikely event of a cancellation, SMN shall not be liable to you for travel, accommodation or other costs if we are required to cancel the Event as a result of an event outside our control (including, without limitation, to acts of God, floods, lightning, storm, fire, explosion, war, military operations, acts of terrorism or threats of any such acts, any strike action, lock-outs or other industrial action and a pandemic, epidemic or other widespread illness).
