YILPORT to standardise terminal digital workflows

YILPORT Holding Inc. is to roll out the Navis Compass visual workflow management application to five terminals following a successful pilot of the technology at YILPORT’s Oslo terminal.

The Compass application is used to digitalise and standardise terminal workflows to improve the quality of the planning and tracking process and to enhance the terminal’s efficiency.

During the pilot, Compass was used to track the planning and execution process for vessels from the Global Logistics Center (GLC) in Gebze, Turkey. Relevant information was made available to all terminal actors in real time via the platform, to reduce the potential for miscommunication across locations and to improve efficiency.

During the one month trial period YILPORT and Navis made continuous enhancements to the Compass application, gathering feedback on the priority of features to add and how those features should work to best incorporate Compass into the terminal planning processes.

The system will now be rolled out at five YILPORT terminals that are already using Navis N4, to standardise the planning process across the terminals.
