Dry-docking software added to Veracity platform

Cloud-based dry-docking technology firm Maindeck has agreed a deal with DNV GL to make its software package available via the Veracity open digital platform, used for the exchange of services, datasets, APIs and applications between industry stakeholders.

Norway-based Maindeck’s dry-docking software aims to assist ship management companies in managing dry dock projects, from the planning phase to execution on site. The Cloud-based application runs in a web browser, requiring no installation or up-front investment.

Users can also access a fully integrated and synchronised mobile inspection app, with offline functionality, to facilitate data access and collection on site. The mobile app is available for Android and is in private beta for iOS, and is included for all Maindeck users, the company says.

“Our dry-docking solution can reduce time spent on projects and remove any unforeseen costs on site,” said Maindeck CEO, Sasan Mameghani.

“We have extensive experience and expertise from both the shipping industry and the tech industry, and our solution enables vessel managers and technical superintendents to gain a complete view of the project and all related activities.”

“This control in turn allows for major cost and time savings. The users already have all the necessary expertise for a successful project, what they are missing is a modern solution that assists them along the way.”
