P&O Maritime Services signs with ABS for fleet management software package

P&O Maritime Services is to implement the Nautical Systems fleet management software system from classification society ABS following the agreement of a new deal, the companies report.

Based in Dubai, P&O Maritime will implement the full fleet package of application modules for asset, compliance and workforce management, along with mobile and business intelligence apps for its worldwide fleet.

The Nautical Systems software offers functionality for a range of vessel operational processes, including maintenance and repair, regulatory requirements, purchasing and inventory, and crew management and payroll.

The initial pilot and kick-off began in April 2019, with the Nautical Systems team visiting the P&O Maritime office to begin system implementation. That team will remain engaged with P&O throughout the project.

P&O Maritime is a provider of maritime support services on a global basis, including ownership and management of specialist vessels, offshore renewables, river barging, chartering, port services and logistics support.
