Kongsberg platform gets Microsoft PowerBI certification

Kongsberg has announced that its Vessel Insight Connector 1.2 technology has been approved by Microsoft as a certified connector, and will be included as part of the April update of Microsoft’s PowerBI product.

Vessel Insight is Kongsberg’s vessel-to-Cloud data infrastructure platform, used to capture and aggregate shipboard data in the Cloud for access by various applications, with direct access to a range of approved software and services through the company’s Kognifai Marketplace.

PowerBI is a Microsoft business intelligence platform, incorporating a collection of software services, apps, and connectors that work together to assist companies in extracting value from data collected from disparate sources.

The PowerBI connector within Vessel Insight is already being used by Kongsberg customers for applications like fleet wide Automatic Engine Reports, which enable on-shore teams to monitor vessels in real-time, as well as in Specific Fuel Oil Consumption (SFOC) monitoring and analysis.
