Maritime software firm OneOcean reports that it has acquired Shipping Guides Ltd, a provider of data and information on global ports.
The Guide to Port Entry intelligence produced by Shipping Guides will be integrated into OneOcean’s platforms following the transaction, to improve OneOcean’s voyage planning capabilities.
Guide to Port Entry data has been built up over the last 50 years and offers static and dynamic data for almost 15,000 ports worldwide. It is currently used by some 10,000 maritime stakeholders that interface with the data via a range of web-based systems and APIs, including access to pre-arrival information and geographical polygons for all port areas, port limits, anchorages, pilot areas and environmental information.
