Oldendorff Carriers invests in Groke Technologies

Dry bulk owner and operator Oldendorff Carriers has announced an investment in Groke Technologies, becoming a minor shareholder in the Finnish start-up, which focuses on development of navigation technologies.

Groke Technologies was established in 2019 to develop intelligent navigation systems for shipping operations, with the aim of creating safer and more comfortable working conditions on board vessels.

Oldendorff already has a close relationship with Japanese trading and investing firm Mitsubishi Corporation, which is the leading investor in Groke Technologies and was responsible for introducing the company to Oldendorff.

Groke will continue its development and business with advice and support from both investors.

Owning and operating 750 chartered and owned ships on average, Oldendorff Carriers is one of the world’s largest dry bulk owners and operators with 4,500 employees from 60 countries.
