Speedcast and HudsonCyber have teamed up to launch a new maritime cyber security product, aligned with the International Maritime Organization’s (IMO) 2021 Guidelines on Maritime Cyber Risk Management.
Speedcast CyberInsights will provide a risk management and assessment service to assist organisations in evaluating their cybersecurity protection. Built on Amazon Web Services (AWS), the platform integrates cybersecurity industry standards, frameworks and standardised practices.
In addition to IMO guidelines, the CyberInsights approach integrates with cybersecurity standards as described in the US National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) Cybersecurity Framework, the Center for Internet Security’s Critical Controls, and ISO 27001, among others.
“According to Cybersecurity Ventures, cybercrime damages will reach $10.5 trillion USD annually by 2025, and it is our ongoing goal to continue enhancing our cybersecurity capabilities to protect our customers,” said Jeffrey Irwin, Vice President, Product Management at Speedcast.
“As part of Speedcast’s cybersecurity product suite, CyberInsights is a robust solution that will strengthen our customers’ cybersecurity capabilities and drive continuous improvements by identifying and developing a tailored cybersecurity programme in a timely and cost-effective manner, compared with hiring a traditional consulting firm.”
