United Heavy Lift (UHL) of Hamburg is to implement new vessel performance monitoring and optimisation systems from COACH Solutions, recently acquired by Kongsberg, following the agreement of a new deal.
The German company will use the new application to increase its digital capabilities and reduce the environmental footprint of its heavy lift, breakbulk and project cargo ships.
“We can monitor the actual performance of our vessels in our fleet with one, easy to implement, smart tool helping us decrease emissions and our environmental footprint,” said Jan-Ove Hohl, General Manager Operations, UHL.
“Additionally, our Captains receive valuable weather routing advice to take the most economical route, maximising value and keeping our sensitive cargo safe.”
