Speedcast to add Lars Thrane Iridium GMDSS services

Speedcast has agreed a new partnership with Lars Thrane to add the Danish company’s range of Iridium terminals to the Speedcast satcom portfolio, including its equipment supporting Iridium Global Maritime Distress and Safety System (GMDSS) services.

As part of the agreement, Speedcast will offer Lars Thrane models LT-3100, LT-3100S and LT-4100. The contract scope also provisions Speedcast as a strategic partner for Iridium GMDSS, with trained engineers available for deployment worldwide.
