Sea Cloud Cruises to implement Viasat Ka-band VSAT following Dualog deal

Sea Cloud Cruises (SCC) in Germany is deploy Ka-band VSAT connectivity services from ViaSat onboard its cruise sailing vessels travelling in Europe, the Caribbean and Central America, following an agreement with Dualog.

The deal was signed between SCC and Dualog Nordic, which has signed up as a Viasat reseller to provide satcom services to SCC alongside its Dualog Business Mail and Dualog Drive products.

“For many passengers, fast connectivity wherever they are in the world is an increasingly important part of the cruise experience,” said Adam Pazdzioch, COO of Sea Cloud Cruises.

“With Viasat technology on board, we know the system has the capability to reliably offer our international passengers better connectivity and speeds so they can stream those playoff game highlights or share videos of their travels with friends and family.”
