Gaslog LNG fleet to deploy Kongsberg data infrastructure

Gaslog LNG has agreed a deal with Kongsberg Digital to implement the Vessel Insight data platform across its fleet of 35 vessels, the companies report.

The system will be used to provide the vessel operator with global access to fleet operational overviews, vessel specific dashboards and analysis tools.

“Our goal is to limit the impact of our operations on the marine environment and minimise our emissions, while making LNG shipping reliable and profitable for our customers,” said Marios Sarafidis, Energy and Decarbonisation Manager, GasLog LNG.

“We are glad to enter this contract and partnership with Kongsberg Digital to innovate and improve the efficiency of our fleet.”

Vessel Insight offers a consistent and standardised data collection process to support analysis of operations to optimise vessel and fleet performance. All users also have access to the Kognifai Marketplace, which includes a range of applications and services where that data can be applied.

“We are proud and pleased to be a part of and accelerate Gaslog LNG’s digital journey. By installing Vessel Insight on their entire fleet, they will gain better control, as well as greener and more effective operations,” said Christopher Bergsager, VP Growth Digital Ocean at Kongsberg Digital.

“Making LNG shipping better and more efficient is an important step towards the transition to a less carbon intense future.”
