Safetytech Accelerator opens applications for 4th edition of start-up programme

The fourth edition of the Waypoint maritime start-up programme operated by Safetytech Accelerator (a non-profit established by Lloyd’s Register) is now open for applications from companies focused on delivering safety and risk management technologies for the maritime industry.

Waypoint 4: Nearshore is currently welcoming applications from technology companies with systems addressing challenges experienced during nearshore operations. The technologies should already be commercially ready and scalable, the organisers note.

Those accepted into the programme have the opportunity to access up to $30,000 per company from Safetytech’s proof-of-concept fund, as well as gaining support for piloting and mentoring from maritime industry experts.

Start-ups can apply via the Safetytech Accelerator website, with applications closing on 7 December 2022.
