MariApps and zero44 to jointly deliver EU ETS services

MariApps and zero44 have announced a new partnership to assist shipping companies to comply with the EU Emissions Trading System (ETS), covering reporting, compliance, stakeholder alignment and trading.

The companies said that the onboarding of new customers will begin immediately, with the service to be available from the fourth quarter of 2023, combining MariApps’ performance optimisation, data collection and reporting capabilities with the zero44 decarbonisation platform.

The zero44 software can be used to help organisations keep track of the flow of allowances and money and provide direct access to EUA trading as well as Union Registries. For MariApps customers, the zero44 system will integrate with smart Ops, MariApps’ existing vessel performance data tool, to support information exchange.

“We are very excited about this partnership,” said Sankar Ragavan, CEO at MariApps Marine Solutions.

“At MariApps, we aim to offer the best value to all our customers by providing the most efficiently integrated digital solutions. zero44 as a European partner with deep expertise in the specifics of the EU ETS is a powerful extension to smart Ops our vessel performance solution suite.”
