Mintra to add AR and VR to maritime training with ARuVR partnership

Mintra has signed a new strategic partnership with Extended Reality (XR) training platform ARuVR to incorporate Augmented Reality (AR) and Virtual Reality (VR) technologies into its services.

The deal will allow Mintra to expand its TrainingPortal learning and competence management system for maritime and other industries with new e-Learning capabilities.

ARuVR supports code-free content generation, live real-time and interactive streaming and is cross-compatible across mobile, tablet, desktop and XR devices, allowing trainers to simultaneously connect with multiple trainees anywhere in the world.

“At a time when the maritime and energy industries are going through a huge change, it’s important that multi-format compliant training solutions keep pace,” said Siren Berge, CTO, Mintra.

“The partnership with ARuVR enables Mintra to support our customers with a solution which enriches the training experience while at the same time reduces risk and increases efficiency.”
