Port-IT adds new features to maritime cyber system

Netherlands-based maritime cyber security specialist Port-IT Vanir has added new features to its Vanir Endpoint Security product, used to assist in safeguarding vessels against cyber threats.

A new Insight capability has been integrated to provide crew members with an overview of the dynamic cyber threat landscape within their network, offering real-time insights into the number, nature, and severity of threats.

A News feature added to Vanir Endpoint Security provides notifications about global cyber incidents that have the potential to affect maritime operations, such as an urgent software update, a cyber-attack on a port causing potential delays, or emerging threats that require attention.

“We recognise that the maritime industry faces unique cybersecurity challenges, and our goal is to equip maritime professionals with the tools they need to navigate this complex landscape,” said Youri Hart, CEO at Port-IT.

“With the addition of Insight and News features to Vanir Endpoint Security, we reaffirm our dedication to providing optimal protection and keeping vessels safely connected at sea.”
