Ports & Cargo Handling Services Limited has become the latest organisation to join the Portchain Connect network, with the aim of using the system to improve the quality and speed of its berth alignment with customers through digital handshakes and data sharing.
Portchain will assist Ports & Cargo Handling Services in simplifying its communication channels, allowing the company to receive real-time schedule information and move count updates directly from carrier systems.
This improved access to dynamic data will support port services operators in responding to changes and making counter proposals quickly, to align vessel schedules with the terminal berth plan.
“We are excited to work with Ports & Cargo Handling Services Limited and help them drive efficiencies in their berth alignment process by facilitating streamlined data exchange,” said Thor Thorup, CCO and Co-Founder of Portchain.
“We look forward to continuing our collaboration and continuously improving the platform based on user feedback.”
