Sperry Marine has released the latest update to its series of networked bridge systems with the launch of VisionMaster Net version 4.0.
The VisionMaster range of integrated bridge systems allows various combinations of VisionMaster Net and third-party equipment to be integrated into any configuration required by the user, to create a fully networked vessel bridge.
This can include technologies such as radar, ECDIS, gyro, VDR, GPS, AIS and a host of other systems, allowing the different equipment to be connected within a single network to share data, with outputs displayed via multifunction work screens.
The networked infrastructure also provides the foundation for centralised data management on the vessel by integrating the SperrySphere back of bridge platform, which enables data-based monitoring and maintenance of the onboard systems.
The company says that the latest upgrade to VisionMaster Net version 4.0 offers improved alert management capabilities, with an updated activation of AIS targets, a revised built-in iHelp tool for user familiarisation, and better cyber security protection.
