Wireless IoT networking company ScanReach has announced a collaboration with BARTEC to develop and launch an Explosion-Proof Node for sensor data integration in EX zones within the maritime industry.
The Explosion-Proof Node integrates with ScanReach’s OWC (Onboard Wireless Connectivity) network technology, allowing for wireless ingestion and sharing of sensor data in hazardous environments.
The units can be used by shipping companies to absorb and distribute sensor data on vessels such as chemical carriers, gas carriers, and tankers in areas where safety and compliance are critical, to provide real-time sensor data from equipment like gas sensing devices.
