Fugro Fleet Services, a subsidiary of geo-data specialist Fugro, has confirmed that it has completed the implementation of the cloud-based Compas crew management system from Ocean Technologies Group, to improve efficiency, security, and overall crew experience.
“This transformative solution empowers our team of over 800 offshore colleagues by streamlining workflows, centralising data, and providing a user-friendly interface for both office and onboard personnel,” said Ilja Becker, Senior Fleet Project Manager at Fugro.
“We conducted a comprehensive search for a replacement system, prioritising features that would enhance our crew management capabilities. Compas emerged as the clear frontrunner, with its intuitive design, robust features, and potential for streamlining operations.”
The new software replaces Fugro’s previous crew management application, implemented in 2014, which was no longer fit for purpose as the company expanded. Compas has been integrated with Fugro’s existing Learning Management System (LMS), creating a centralised hub for crew data, training, and development records, while also helping to streamline tasks such as managing work and rest hours, creating port-related crew documents, and booking travel.
