Vitol Bunkers in Singapore has implemented an eBDN (electronic bunker delivery note) system from ZeroNorth on 12 of its barges to improve fuel supply services to its shipping customers.
The deployment will help Vitol Bunkers to reduce the risk of manual errors and improve efficiency while also supporting the Maritime & Port Authority of Singapore’s (MPA) stated goal of enabling digitalised bunkering.
As one of the world’s largest bunkering ports, Singapore announced the launch of its digital bunkering initiative in November 2023. The MPA is planning to make eBDN mandatory to enhance collaboration between bunker buyers and suppliers, enable better reporting of emissions and achieve time and cost savings.
ZeroNorth’s eBDN has been whitelisted by MPA for use for this purpose and currently serves 56 barges and 10 customers in Singapore.
